holidays at bag end (part 2)
your very first christmas at bag end was unexpected but exciting nonetheless. but you determined to do your part in preparing for the holidays. so when frodo and bilbo told you they would be decorating today, you volunteered.
little did you three know but sam, pippin, and merry would come and offer themselves as helpers.
with laughter and jingle bells, you all got to work. sam climbed the ladder to reach the higher branches. frodo bore decorations into the room and helped put them up. pippin sometimes broke the ornaments and ended up sitting by the fire, aiding in conversation. merry helped as needed. and bilbo, of course, too old to do much to help "you young ones," told you all what to do.
so perfect was this moment in time that you never wanted it to end. never wanted conversation to die. never wanted the last decoration to be placed upon the tree.
you wanted to always remember this, your very first christmas at bag end, in all its glory.
