After years of trudging Offa’s Dyke, lonely, cold and sad
Eventually finding solace here, it’s comfy, warm and glad.
Centuries lived on border land have made this creature wise,
Battle of Buttington brutality brought tears to scaly eyes.
The Dragon and the Severn Oak colluded for a thousand years
But the great tree sadly passed away causing yet more tears.
