The Misty Mountains Cold
The dwarves began to sing in Bilbo’s living room after a hearty supper. Though he wants nothing to do with such business, Bilbo can’t help listening in. As he listens, everything that the dwarves describe comes to life in his imagination, and he longs to go adventuring. His Tookish side has been awakened.
And for those of you who think music doesn’t affect people, the Dwarves convinced Bilbo to go on a journey just by singing about it...
A portion of the Song of Durin is included in the middle of the Misty Mountains song. The entire selection is performed by Clamavi de Profundis.
